Self Awareness

Once we have started to engage with a neighbourhood, some of the first few interactive sessions we conduct focus on the self. Women often have a skewed sense of self – seeing themselves as daughters, wives and mothers – as functions of the roles they play. Sessions in this module were specifically designed by our academic consultant Masarrat Tavawalla to delve into the core of self-identity. These sessions help women acknowledge their creative inclinations and showcase them in a safe environment. They look at concepts like role-models and personal dreams, giving opportunities to build self-confidence, self-awareness and thereby self-esteem.
